Februray 23 a small group from Sky Valley Chapter met at Buzz Inn in Snohomish for an early run out Mountain Loop Highway. At the edge of the Mt. Baker National Forest, there is a small inn with old fashioned rooms and service. Mountain Loop Inn has rooms, food, a small convenience store, and miles of Forest service roads and trails.
We took backroads out of town, following Maple until it became Machias Road. Beyond Lake Stevens, we joined Highway 92 and turned east towards Mount Pilchuck. Granite Falls, Robe Valley, almost to Verlot.
We met at Buzz Inn for a quck breakfast and short discussion of the route and mission.
Lots of parking beind the cafe.
Another fine adventure in the Cascade mountains.
